I am talking about WINTER! and I am very afraid!

This week is soooo cold!

I would love it if we had FALL all the time!

Kanarra Mtn. also very nice weather last weekend!

There's not much we can do about it except prepare for our FIRST Cedar City WINTER!

We got new tires on my car, I have new shoes and coat, Jaycie has new snow pants and her first actual coat she has ever needed!

My little baby Jaycie is already 1! This post is a month late, I know...

1 year stats:

Weight: 22.37 lbs- 70%

Length: 30.0 in.- 77%

For Jaycie's first birthday we escaped to California to visit Disneyland for 2 days, Sea World 1 day, and Oceanside beach 1 day! Loved the trip! She may not remember it, but we took plenty of pictures for her!

Jaycie 1 year abilities:

Jaycie runs around all day until she crashes asleep

She likes to hide things in cupboards and pulls towels and washclothes out of them

She says "Dada" quite a lot, and puts in a "Mama" every once in a while.

When we open a door to go outside she runs toward it trying to get out! She loves being outside!

Jaycie loves water, including baths and her little wading pool.

When Jaycie sees an animal she gets excited and curious about it.

Jaycie loves cheerios and really anything like strawberries, crackers, and peas.

If you hold up a diaper she runs and laughs at you.

Jaycie will hand you things she has in her hand if you ask her nicely and quietly. If you say "Hey, give it!", she runs and laughs at you.

If you smile, she will smile. :)

Jaycie can officially roll over! First time she did it Jay and I were both out of the room. I was walking in and he had just walked out to make her a bottle, and when we got in there she was on her tummy looking around. It was pretty funny, she just kind of did it out of nowhere! Now she does it every time you lie her on her back, so let the games begin!

Jaycie Sue Donnelly was blessed today along with Jay's neice Mireya Nikaylee Quiroz.
My Dad blessed her, and my Mom and Audrey came up from Nevada to see us, and Sherry and her husband Chris and their 4 kids came also. Thanks for supporting us!

This has been a really weird month for us; some good, some bad.
Jaycie's blessing= good
Jay got his GED= very good
Jay got laid off= bad

but we're doing okay, really. I'm still working full time at the Home Depot and I really like the people I work with. I'd like to get into something else, go back to school... but i'm not sure what I'd want to do. We'll figure it out sooner or later. :) For now Jay's my babysitter because he's not sure what else he'd like to do, he's been a woodworker for almost 5 years now and it's basically his only job he has had, and he's good at it. Everything is just so slow here that they weren't very busy. So, we'll see where to go from here. Sometimes I want to just pick up and move somewhere else but that's a bit scary to move away from so many family and friends we have nearby... plus where else would work be better, right? So in Utah we stay...

Dr. Cain likes her, she is easy to examine and always smiles at him! She only cried while they were giving her the shots (like 2 seconds) and then I picked her up and it was all smiles from then on! She hasn't had any fever or anything from her shots, she is such a good girl!

Jaycie is much more vocal and loves to follow you by turning her head when you walk by. She is very alert and loves to watch out the window. She has the cutest laugh.

2 Month Stats

The doctor was happy that she was smiling at him while he was checking her heart and lungs, he said "you know how to make friends!". She did very well with the shots, she only cried for a second. The nurses were amazed at how quickly she stopped crying. We have a good little girl!

Fourth of July Weekend

For Fourth of July we went to Nikol's house for a barbecue, and then watched the city fireworks... from the top of a building. :) that's right. We're so cool, that we got escorted to the top of the college to watch the fireworks this year. We are so VIP. haha... it was pretty awesome though, great view.

Happy Father's Day, Jay!

For his FIRST father's day Jay went camping at Navaho Lake on Cedar Mountain for two nights.

His mom and sisters and their kids all went and had a great time!

Me and Jaycie just went up for the day, too cold for us to camp right now.

Loki was loving it until the little thunderstorm and hail went through.

So, I set up the baby's room basically all the way now.

The changing table is the cutest part i think...

Jay's mom and sister got us the changing table.

We have a ton more diapers and wipes and things in the closet, too.

Most of the diapers in the red bins are from Torrey and Sunny's diaper cake they made me, I finally broke it down and found the surprise of wipes in the middle! :) Pretty interesting how those are made, I was sad to see the cake go though... sure was a lot of diapers! Thanks guys.

Creeps and Sheets

The odd pregnancy people are coming out, and it begins with the creepy Wal Mart guy.

So i'm standing in front of the bbq sauces minding my own business just wondering what brand and flavor to try next (i love getting new ones to try, devil's spit is still my favorite, but it's HOT!), and i see a guy just standing there inching closer staring at me (obviously waiting for me to acknowlege him). I don't, because I hate people I don't know acting like this.

So he finally says, "when's the baby due?" ... oh great here we go. what if i wasn't pregnant and he just offended my weight problem? just a thought. anyway i tell him "oh, in May" and I go back to choosing my barbecue sauce. Then he says "pregnant ladies are just so cute!".

... creepy. If it were an old couple it wouldn't have been creepy, but this was just some middle aged guy and the way he said it and he was smiling all big (i don't think he was considered "special" either), made me think of getting pepper spray.

I'm nice, I smiled and said thanks and proceeded to the next aisle. He walks the other way around and meets me in the next aisle again, and says "you said it was due in May? MY birthday is in May! May 25th!"

...what? you want me to name it after you or something?

I smile and continue shopping, where he follows me through the next 3 aisles, somehow always right in the middle. Yeah I got the heck outta there...

I don't know if i'm paranoid or just not in the mood today, but people like that scare me.

But obviously my belly has popped out and i'll be getting more and more of these comments, eh?

ANYWAY

I got a couple of new crib sheets!

The first one is red and white flowers, and the second is a black and white gingham design. Both are from Pottery Barn Kids, and they are nice! I'm planning on getting some plain red crib skirt and red crib bumper to go with these. Should look nice, red, black and white are supposed to be good for baby, too! So that works.

This one is the "Callie" crib sheet, pretty cool flower design!

Jay also got off early yesterday and we went adventuring, this was taken out by Oak Grove on some back road to St. George... too bad we almost ran out of gas and had to turn back. haha...

I hit a deer on my way back from work.

I gave it a pretty nice haircut, notice the chunk lodged in our truck...

I swear I have the worst luck in the world.

This couldn't have come at a worse time, really... uggh.

I'm tired.

But to answer the questions, the only reason I haven't talked much about the

baby is because I still don't know much about the baby...

It wasn't planned, I haven't been sick, we got to hear the heartbeat, and I find out what it is in one week, which we are excited about. We kinda want a boy but a girl would be fun too. We are looking for a new place to live and have NO money, and really I wonder what we're gonna do.

Stressful.

Anyway, a few friends from work are having me go to see Twilight with them tomorrow. yay!

Jay set up his BIGGER fish tank, it is a 90 gal tank!

it was quite a process though. the first time we filled

it, it had a leak and it didn't show until it was FULL!

so we had to throw water out the back window onto the yard...

then jay resealed it, refilled it, then unfilled it again because it was

too heavy for the dresser and it was dipping in the middle,

which would make the tank crack eventually.

I was at work when he redid it all, but now it looks great!

4- i'll offer candy to diabetics... just to be nice and share...
5- I have a cat named Otep that I am very allergic to, but I love her... too bad for me. I always try to hold her and hug her even so...
6- a carry a notebook in my purse now that i have to write everyting down in. I remind myself of my dad, he always has paper and a pen in his pocket.
7- I listen to CD's over and over in my car and hardly ever get sick of them...
8- I like to collect things... coins, collector spoons, glasses, rings... i think they call this a pack rat.
